I wasn’t sure what the group’s interpretation would be on honouring difference and as a result their colourful traditional outfits did not make sense at first. Then we were schooled on the different cultures except of course Afrikaners. We were reminded however that there is a commonness in our diversity and that which separates us unites us in the end.
With every class I attend on facilitation I realise that it’s more than just about learning to facilitate, a big part of it is about self mastery. I leave every class with more questions than answers. Questions about me and how I interact with the world. How do I show up as an introvert? When and how do I make my presence felt?
